Guidry and Schexnaider united in marriage

Lisa Guidry and Dustin Schexnaider were united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony on Friday, July 8, 2011, at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church in Kaplan.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Guidry of Kaplan. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Claude Landry and the late Mrs. Olga Doré Landry, of Abbeville, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Guidry of Kaplan. She is a 2007 graduate of North Vermilion High School and is currently employed as a business office manager.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Schexnaider of Maurice. He is the grandson of Mrs. Mary Schexnaider and the late Mr. Ennis Schexnaider, of Maurice, and Mrs. Rita T. Broussard and the late Mr. Harris P. Broussard of Maurice. He is a 2002 graduate of North Vermilion High school and is currently employed as an electrician.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless, sweetheart neckline, trumpet style dress featuring a stunning beaded motif with pearls and crystal beading decorated throughout. The dress was designed by Oleg Cassini and was primarily made from Evangeline white lace, and had a small sweep train. She wore a white veil edged with beading and pearls, and carried a bouquet, hand-tied, with a white lace wrap, 18 elegant red roses accented with her grandmother’s rosary and cameo pin.

Serving as maid of honor was Jennifer St. Martin, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Tammy Broussard, sister of the bride, Lori Guidry, sister-in-law of the bride, and Jennifer Cenci, friend of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Anne-Claire Schexnaider, godchild of the groom. Miniature bride was Londyn Schexnaider, daughter of the groom. Flower girls were Madelyn S. Martin, niece of the bride, and Lillian Broussard, niece of the bride.

Serving as the best man was Blake Schexnaider, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Nick Broussard, brother-in-law of the bride, Chuck Guidry, brother of the bride, and Jared S. Martin, brother-in-law of the bride. Junior groomsmen was Drake Michael, godchild of the groom. Miniature groom was Cole Guidry, nephew of the bride and the ring bearer was Cooper Guidry, nephew of the bride. Serving as ushers were Kevin Schexnaider and Randy Schexnaider.

Lectors were Dolores Ancona and Angie Schexnaider.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Le’Reve in Kaplan.

After returning from their honeymoon trip to Panama City Beach, Florida, the couple will reside in Maurice.
