Denna Decuir enters plea of not guilty for Milton Decuir killing

Denna Decuir entered a plea of not guilty for the second degree murder of Milton Decuir during an arraignment hearing Wednesday, March 25. Decuir was emotional and holding back tears when she entered her plea before Judge Marilyn Castle. The Judge ordered that a motion to trial should be filed within 30 days.

Decuir was booked into the Vermilion Parish Correctional Center on Feb. 5, and bonded out Feb. 13, according to the Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office. Her bond was set at $100,000.

(Milton) Decuir was found shot to death at his residence on Friday, Jan. 23, 2009.
