Delahoussaye and Guidry unite

Jennifer Delahoussaye and Rodney Guidry were united in Holy Matrimony during a ceremony held on November 11, 2011, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath. Reverend Bill-John Melancon presided over the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Delahoussaye, of Erath. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Delahoussaye, of Erath.

The groom is the son of Barbara Daigle, of Breaux Bridge, and the late Adley Guidry. He is the grandson of Ms. Edith Latiolais, of Breaux Bridge.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory colored chiffon gown with a gathered bodice and rhinestone adornment at the waist. Her look was completed with a fingertip veil, which was also adorned with pearls and rhinestone roses. The bride carried a bouquet created by friends of the bride, consisting of autumn-colored roses of cream, toffee, and gold, and accented with greenish under leaves and iridescent pieces of lime, gold, and rust stones. Intertwined in the bouquet was the bride’s grandmother’s rosary.

Brittlyn Stubblefield, daughter of the bride, served as maid of honor, and Christie Bourque, friend of the bride, served as the matron of honor. Dawn Adams, friend of the bride, Gabrielle Stutes, friend of the bride, Keshia Etheridge, cousin of the bride, Karen Delahoussaye, sister-in-law of the bride, and Camryn LeBlanc, godchild of the bride, served as the bridesmaids during the ceremony.

The bridesmaids wore toffee-colored floor length gowns of soft chiffon. The straps and collar of the gown was decorated with a gold, bronze, silver, and toffee stones braid. A toffee-colored shawl completed the look. The attendants carried a small spray similar to the bride’s bouquet.

Annslee Delahoussaye, daughter of the bride, served as the flower girl, and Kizen Delahoussaye, nephew of the bride, served as the ring bearer during the ceremony.

Paul Bourque, friend of the groom, served as the best man. Mike Campbell, friend of the groom, Tim Guidry, brother of the groom, Paul Leger, cousin of the bride, Danny Delahoussaye, brother of the bride, Trey Mallet, friend of the groom, and Sadler Delahoussaye, nephew of the bride, served as groomsmen during the ceremony.

Shelby LeBlanc, cousin of the bride, served as the usher during the ceremony.

At the reception, the groom’s sister, Shantel LeJeune, and the mother of the bride, Cheryl Delahoussaye, lit the two candles representing each family before the unity candle was lit by the newlywed couple.

Music for the ceremony was provided by organist Mrs. Monique LeBlanc and cantor Mrs. Nateal d’Augereau.

Shellie Guidry, sister-in-law of the groom, provided the readings for the ceremony.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Erath City Park, in Erath.

Upon returning from a honeymoon to New Orleans, the couple plans to reside in Erath.
