Vermilion narcotics agents arrest four

According to Sheriff Mike Couvillon, the Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit made the following arrests for narcotics related offenses within the parish.
On Thursday, Jan. 15, agents with the Vermilion Parish Narcotics Division were conducting criminal patrol.
Agents observed Fabian Mitchell, (b/m, dob: 7-23-1982, address 408 Sucre Circle, Abbeville la), driving a vehicle, and knew that Mitchell was wanted on several outstanding felony warrants.
The subject took evasive turns and attempted to lose agents but once agents located Mitchell’s vehicle a traffic stop was initiated. Mitchell refused to stop and entered into the city limits. Once inside the city, Mitchell stopped his vehicle on the shoulder of the roadway and exited the vehicle and fled holding a white bag.
Agents gave chase and a short time later, Mitchell was taken into custody without incident. The white bag was found to contain, a large amount of marijuana, synthetic marijuana and Promethazine (liquid codeine) and a digital scale.
Mitchell was also found to be in possession of a large amount of currency which was suspected to be drug proceeds and more suspected marijuana. A search of the vehicle resulted in agents located suspected Lortab and suspected Vyvanse. Mitchell was charged with the following :
• Possession with intent to distribute Marijuana
• Possession of Lortab
• Possession of Vyvanse
• Possession of Promethazine
• Resisting arrest
• Possession with intent to distribute Synthetic Marijuana
• Transactions involving drug proceeds
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Also for his outstanding felony warrants for Obstruction of justice, Principal to Possession with intent to Distribute Marijuana and Possession of Marijuana
Agents also recently made the following narcotics related arrests:
Craig Guillory, (w/m, dob: 8-16-1970), was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Illegal use of a controlled drug and Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in the presence of a juvenile. Guillory was also booked on an active parole warrant.
Kristi Dickson, (/f, dob: 8-22-1980), was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substances in the presence of a juvenile.
Alexis Richard, (b/f, dob: 8-7-1984), was arrested for Possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in the presence of a juvenile, (three counts).
The Vermilion Sheriff’s Office would like thank Lafayette Police department in the apprehension of Guillory, and the Abbeville Police Department in the arrest of Mitchell.
