Montet and Broussard unite in Holy Matrimony

Amber Montet and Justin Broussard were united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony on the evening of Friday, November 8, 2013, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Henry, Louisiana. Father Manny officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Gordy and Darlene Montet of Henry and the granddaughter of the late Robert “Bobby” Montet and Deanna Montet of Henry, Mildred B. Montet of Maurice, Robert and Sue Toups of Kaplan, Ena B. Toups of Henry and is the great-granddaughter of Ena Bodin of Henry.

The groom is the son of Keith and Jessie Broussard and the grandson of Mark and Susie Broussard of Henry and the late J.C. Lange and Cora Lange of Henry. His great-grandmothers are Elaine Theriot of Abbeville, Louisiana and Laura Broussard of Henry.

The bride's father, Gordy Montet, escorted her. Alaina Montet, the sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Cousin of the groom Amanda Detraz, friends of the bride Brittany Benoit and Heather Richard, and cousin of the bride Tiffany Dugas served as bridesmaids. The junior bridesmaid in the ceremony were Sydney Lange, a cousin of the groom. Serving as the junior bride is Abigail Lanclos, the daughter of the bride.

Garrett Broussard, a friend of the groom, served as the best man. Friends of the groom Seth Detraz and Steven Lee served as groomsmen alongside the groom's brother, Tyler Broussard, and the groom's cousin, Jesse Lange.

Averi Dugas, a friend of the bride, served as the flower girl in the ceremony. The ring bearers were friend of the bride, Caidyn Richard, and cousin of the groom, Carson Detraz. Dana Granger and Jennifer Bullington provided music for the ceremony. Jed and Jarrod Lange, cousins of the groom, served as ushers. Readings were presented by the groom's godmother, Jody Hansard, and the bride's godmother, Selina Bennett.

After the ceremony, a reception was held at the Erath Community Center. The couple are spending their honeymoon at Nottoway Plantation in White Castle, Louisiana, and will return to their home in Henry afterward.
