Luquette, Faulk united in marriage

Alexis Rae Luquette and Bradley John Faulk were joined in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony at a wedding ceremony held Saturday, December 21, 2013, at 7 p.m. The couple was wed at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville, Louisiana,with Father Kendall Faulk presiding over the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis T. Luquette of Abbeville. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Louis C. Luquette of Abbeville; Mr. and Mrs. Sidney L. Bertrand of Abbeville; and Mrs. Helen Bertrand of Abbeville.
The groom is the son of Mr. Randall Faulk of Kaplan, Louisiana, and Ms. Barbara B. Faulk of Santee, California. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs Ray Faulk of Kaplan; Mrs. Caroline Bosch and the late James Bosch of Slidell, Louisiana.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father, Curtis T. Luquette. She wore a strapless, ivory dress of organza and satin. It had a sweetheart neckline with a fit and flare silhouette. The entire gown is adorned with delicate lace and applique and embroidery. It is encrusted with Swarovski crystals. The veil was long and scalloped and beaded with crystals. The bride's bouquet was a round bouquet of ivory roses with crystal broaches, tied with lace from the bride's gown.
The maid of honor for the ceremony was Elisabeth M. Pere, a cousin of the bride. The matron of honor was Lauren Jackson Hebert, a friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Lauren B. LaSalle, friend of the bride, and Sarah Meyer and Leslie Bosch, both sisters of the groom. McKenzie Duhon, a cousin of the bride, served as junior bridesmaid. The bride's attendants each wore a strapless ruched satin gown, pewter in color. Each carried a bouquet of red roses.
The mother of the bride wore a teal, sequined dress. It was an off-the-shoulder Tadashi gown finished with a feathery, scalloped frame. The mother of the room wore a dark purple, floor-length gown.
The best man was Caleb Luquette, the bride's brother. The groomsmen were Travis Clapp, a friend of the groom, and John and Matt Laudun and Frankie Manale, each a cousin of the groom.
Emma Hebert, a godchild of the bride, served as flower girl, while Lane Duhon, who is also a godchild of the bride, served as ring bearer. Music for the ceremony was provided by Tommy Guidry. Readings were presented by Mrs. Christene Constantin, godmother of the bride, and Frank Manale, godfather of the groom. Ross Comeaux, friend of the groom, served as usher.
A reception was held after the ceremony for the newlywed couple at Magdalen Place in Abbeville. The couple will reside in Kaplan.
