Kristin Locantro, Brett Hebert exchange vows on island of St. Lucia

Brett Matthew Hebert and Kristin Nicole Locantro were united in marriage on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 during a 4 p.m. ceremony in St. Lucia. The outdoor ceremony took place amidst beautiful lush tropical surroundings.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brad Morace of Monroe, LA and the late Dr. Mark Locantro. Her mother is the former Rhonda Beckett. Kristin is the granddaughter of Bill and Wanda Runyan and Don and Libby Beckett of Crossett, AR and Dr. Joseph and Helen Locantro of New Orleans, LA.
She is a graduate of Sterlington High School and the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing. She is the owner of Southwest Louisiana Tumble and Cheer in Abbeville, LA.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glynn K. Hebert of Abbeville, LA. His mother is the former Marilyn Derouen. Brett is the grandson of Alwin and Betty Derouen and Loisy Hebert and the late John Eraste Hebert of Abbeville, LA. He is a graduate of Vermilion Catholic High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration. He is currently employed as the pipe and vessel division manager at Acadian Contractors in Abbeville, LA.
A reception for family and friends was held at Rip Van Winkle Gardens at Jefferson Island in New Iberia, LA on August 22, 2015 at half-past six o’clock in the evening. The reception hall was aglow with an abundance of glittering tea light candles placed throughout, illuminating the white and cream decor. The round tables were covered with cream linens and alternating centerpieces of white flower arrangements containing hydrangeas, roses, bells of Ireland, and lilies. Each table showcased a different picture of the bride and groom at their St. Lucia wedding.
The bride wore an ivory, A-line lace over gold dress with a dramatic V-neckline by Maggie Sottero. The dress was accented with scalloped edges and adorned with a Swarovski crystal belt placed to accentuate the empire waistline. The bridal bouquet was an all-white arrangement in keeping with the white floral theme.
The bride’s cake was a classic three-tiered white cake with Bavarian cream icing and assorted fillings. It was accented with bouquets of fresh white roses. The groom’s cake was a two-tiered chocolate cake with fudge filling decorated with chocolate covered strawberries and two large deer antlers extending from the second tier.
The guests enjoyed a full buffet of delicious cuisine catered by Sam Trahan of Lafayette, LA. Music and entertainment of all genres was provided by the band, Blueprint of Zachary, LA.
The happy couple will reside in Abbeville, LA.
