Josie Toups becomes Mrs. Kevin Vincent

St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville was the setting for the exchange of wedding vows between Miss Josie Annette Toups of Abbeville and Mr. Kevin Edward Vincent of Maurice.
Deacon Byron Soley, cousin of the bride, administered the vows during a 7 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, November 7.
Parents of the bride are Barney and Stephanie Toups of Abbeville. Her grandparents are Louise Lanclos Trcalek of Lafayette, the late Robert Trcalek, Geneva “Jane” Guidry Toups of Abbeville and the late Herbert Toups.
Parents of the groom are Kevin J. and Brenda Vincent. Grandparents are Maudrey Breaux Vincent of Maurice, Edward Vincent of Lafayette, Roosevelt Richard and Patsy Cormier Richard of Scott.
Music was provided by Tommy Guidry, organist; Xiao-Lu Li, violinist; Ray Theaux, timpanist; Jared Gray, trumpeter and Johnny Luquette, vocalist.
Readings were given by R. Sean Trcalek, godfather of the bride and Melanie Vincent Romero, aunt of the groom.
Ushers included Jacob Trcalek, cousin of the bride; Trevaun Walters, cousin of the groom and Jansen Trahan, friend of the bride and groom.
The mother of the bride was escorted by Jacob Trcalek. She wore a deep wine colored streamlined silhouette floor length dress of corded Leavers lace overlay with an illusion bateau neckline.
The mother of the groom was escorted by Trevaun Walters. She wore a champagne chiffon floor length dress featuring a banded waist and tiering on the skirt, completed by a lace and beaded bolero jacket.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a classic slim line dress featuring a beautiful detailed lace, accented at the waistline with an ivory ruched fabric. The bodice introduced a dramatic v-shaped neckline and an intricate key-hole back, both edged in a scalloped lace. The bride’s ensemble was made complete by a button enclosure and semi-cathedral train. Her fingertip length veil was edged with scalloped lace applique and beading. It featured a pearl and beaded comb.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet consisting of a mixture of garden roses, vendela and yellow idole, mini white calla lilies, skirted in butter yellow stock. Her bouquet also included mementos from her late grandfathers and great-grandmothers.
Matron of honor was Katie Toups Lemaire, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids included Stephanie Vincent Landry, aunt of the groom; Madeline Trcalek, cousin of the bride; Erin Foster and Kara Guarisco, friends of the bride. They carried bouquets similar to the bride’s bouquet.
The junior bridesmaid was Brooklyn Vincent, godchild of the groom. Flower girls were Chloe Lemaire, godchild of the bride and Noelle Lemaire, niece of the bride.
The bridesmaids wore floor-length sleeveless dresses featuring twilight colored lace overlays with almond linings. The dresses had jewel necklines with deep V-backs and an A-line skirts with sweep trains. The junior bridesmaid wore a dark navy sleeveless dress featuring mesh bodice with ruched waist band and long mesh skirt. The flower girls wore heirloom floor-length dresses of ivory silk dupioni accented on the yokes with inserts of smocking and pearls. Their dresses were handmade by their maternal grandmother. They carried pomanders of ivory hydrangeas.
Serving as best man was the father of the groom. Groomsmen included Major Ryan Lemaire, brother-in-law of the bride; Van NcNeil III, Alexander Dartez and Zachary Derouen, all friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Eli Trcalek, cousin of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Magdalen Place.
Upon their return from a wedding trip to Waterbury, Vermont, the couple will reside in Maurice.
