Christen Landry becomes Mrs. Shay Primeaux

Miss Christen Landry and Mr. Shay Primeaux were joined in holy matrimony during a ceremony held on Friday, January 6, 2017, at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church.
Father Bill Melancon and Father Andre Metrejean officiated the 7 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Cathy and Timmy Landry of Erath. Her grandparents are Eula and the late Leewood Domingue and Wade and Jane Landry, all of Erath.
Parents of the groom are Shane and Monique Primeaux. His grandparents are James and Jennifer Pridgen and the late Luther and Lea Jane Primeaux.
The church was decorated with Christmas decorations including Christmas trees, aisle wreaths, poinsettias and white rose arrangements.
Music was provided by Nina Perrin, organist and Dana Granger, vocalist.
For her special day, the bride wore a long sleeve lace and chiffon column/sheath Galina Signature bridal gown. Her ensemble was completed with a jeweled teardrop hair piece with an attached ivory veil.
She carried a cascading teardrop bouquet which included white and blush roses with draped greenery.
Chloe Landry attended as her maid of honor. Shelli White was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Brye Anne LeBlanc, Alexis Chiasson, Samantha Trail, Alix Hebert, Brittany Guidroz, Sara Frederick and Morgan Pena.
Each bridesmaids wore different style dresses, all blush pink in color. They carried white rose bouquet arrangements.
The flower girl was Camille Pridgen, daughter o f Shane and Brooke Pridgen. She wore a white lace, long sleeve dress and carried a white winter bouquet.
Peyton Primeaux served as best man. Groomsmen include Nick Suire, Hunter Darby, Nicholas Landry, Michael Derouen, Brad Primeaux, Wyatt Primeaux and Gabe Primeaux. Ring bearer was Weston White, son of Shelli and Garret White.
Ushers included Cade Borel, Cole Touchet and Cameron Pridgen.
A reception was held at the Earth Community Building. The winter wonderland theme included chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and a draped ceiling throughout the building with winter arrangements.
The four tiered bride’s cake was a white hexagon adorned with lace and pearls. The two tiered groom’s chocolate cake included oreo decorations.
A rehearsal dinner was held Thursday, January 5, 2017 and hosted by the Pridgen and Primeaux families.
Upon their return from a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Erath.
The bride is a 2012 graduate of Erath High School and a 2016 graduate of UL of Lafayette with a degree in Middle School Education, Math and English. She is employed at Erath Middle School.
The groom is a 2013 graduate of Erath High School and is employed at Service Chevrolet. He attended South Louisiana Community College.
