Broussard and Guillory Wed in Holy Matrimony

LAKE ARTHUR - Heather Broussard and Jordan Guillory were united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church at 6:30 p.m. in Lake Arthur. Officiating the nuptial mass was Monsignor Ronald Growth.
The bride is the daughter of Loretta LeGros Broussard of Jennings and the late Stacy Broussard, Jr. of Gueydan. Her maternal grandparents are Fannie and Stacy Broussard, Sr. of Gueydan, and paternal grandparents are the late Wilbert and Rena LeGros. The bride is a 2011 graduate of Gueydan High School and License Massage Therapy School. She is employed with Chiropractic American in Jennings, Louisiana.
The groom is the son of Trent Guillory of Gueydan and Kimberly Fontenot Guillory of Lacassine. His paternal grandparents are Willis Guillory of Mermentau and the late Barbara Guillory, and maternal grandparents are Jerry Fontenot of Welsh and Mary Hargrave of Morse. The groom is a 2011 graduate of Gueydan High School and 2010 graduate of Nashville Auto Diesel College. He is employed as a diesel mechanic for Gueydan Tire Company.
The bride was escorted by her mother, Loretta Broussard and her brother, Brock LeGros. She wore a traditional wedding dress in ivory with a wide selves v-neck shape neckline with beading and lace accents with a sweeping chapel train. She carried a bouquet of cream David Austin roses, with white and pink calla lilies adorned with pearl and diamond pins, finished off with white feathers.
Serving as the bride’s maid of honor was Hannah Cashat of Gueydan, friend of the bride and groom. Bridesmaids were Lacey LeBlanc of Welsh, cousin of the bride, Paige Guillory of Gueydan, sister of the groom, Brittany Bertrand of Gueydan, friend of the bride, Tresa Guidry of Mermentau, cousin of the groom, and Alexis Hornsby of Lake Arthur, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids wore a navy blue A-line dress accented with rhinestone brooches.
Carl “TC” Marceaux of Gueydan, friend of the groom served as Best Man, groomsmen were Rusty Venissat of Gueydan, friend of the groom, Willie McElhiney of Pulaski, Tennessee, friend of the groom, McCray Florence of Lexington, Kentucky, friend of the groom, Thomas McCoy of Lexington, Kentucky, friend of the groom, and Roland Hebert of Dequincy, friend of groom.
Serving as flower girl is Ava Broussard, of Jennings, cousin of the bride and ring bearer, Darren Guillory of Gueydan, brother of the groom.
Scriptures were read by Krystal Edwards of Morse, aunt of the groom and Mechelle Paquette of Jennings, cousin of the bride. Instrumental music was provided by Kim Guidry, friend of the bride’s family and organist Judy Landry, aunt of the bride.
Following the ceremony the reception was held at Gueydan Civic Center. At a later date their honeymoon destination will be Freeport, Bahamas.
