North Vermilion boys, Erath girls win

The North Vermilion Patriots improved to 4-1 in district and 15-5 overall after beating the Erath Bobcats 47-32 on Tuesday night.
Erath led 3-2 in the opening minute of the game and then from that point on, it was all North Vermilion.
NV had a 12-7 lead at the end of the first period and extended it to 36-19 at halftime.
Pacing NV in scoring was Jordan Windman with 14 points. Nick Copper had 12 and Dade Dieterich chipped in seven followed by Blake Turner with six.
For Erath, Aaron Greene had seven while Alex Toups and Elijah Mitchell both had six points.

The Lady Bobcats of Erath managed to escape North Vermilion with a win on Tuesday.
There were four times the game was tied, including the final time with 1:49 to play in the game.
Morgan Harrington made two free throws for North Vermilion to tie the game 29-29 with 1:49 to play.
From that point on, a stiff Erath defense and solid offense, helped Erath outscore the Lady Patriots 6-0 in the final minute.
Erath's Alexis Harrington, who made eight total points, scored four of the final six points in the final minute.
No Lady Bobcat finished in double digits. Ashley Dubois had seven, Gabby Harrington (5), Jasmine LeJeune (5), Caitlyn Domingues (6), Sydney Richardelle (3), and Alexa Faulk (1) were the other EHS scorers.
Chelsea Theriot paced NV with 10 points. Harrington had seven, followed by Lundon Graham (4), Kelli LeBlanc (4), Cassidy Hioffpauit (2) and Hanna Dardar (2).
