Think Pink! North Vermilion dance team shows support for breast cancer awareness
LEROY The North Vermilion High School dance team showed support for breast cancer awareness by wearing pink for every football game the entire month of October.
In addition, the team raised money in effort to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer. This year the team donated $200 to Miles Perret Cancer Services. The team sold 'half and half' raffle tickets at home football games and used the earnings to serve as their contribution. Local businesses and individuals sponsored the team by donating pink pom poms, 'Think Pink' t-shirts, and pink hair bows.
The team would like to give a huge thank you to Representative Bob Hensgens, R4 Specialties, Acadian Contractors, Mark & Amy Simon, and Kayla Cawyer, owner of Kayla's Bowtique, for their generosity and support.
