Abbeville police arrest 16 year old for business break-ins

On Thursday, officers of the Abbeville Police Department made arrests on two subjects for burglary and narcotics related offenses.

The Abbeville police arrested a juvenile in connection with two business burglaries in Abbeville.
The 16-year-old juvenile was arrested after a foot chase with officers and found to be in possession of marijuana.
The juvenile was then interviewed by detectives and admitted his part in the burglary of Curious Goods and the attempted burglary of Melancon’s Jewelry. The juvenile was booked on the burglaries and the narcotics charges and placed into temporary custody.

Louis Hebert arrested

Louis Kenny Hebert III (44) was arrested on warrants for Attempted Unauthorized use of an Access Card, Possession of Stolen Property and Simple Burglary.
Hebert is alleged to have entered an unlocked vehicle at a local store and removed cash for the complainant’s console. Hebert also attempted to use a stolen debit card during a transaction at a local business.
