Stout, Champagne unite in Holy Matrimony

Lauryn A. Stout and Michael J. Champagne were united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony on Saturday, December 14, 2013, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville, Louisiana. Father Edward Duhon officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Tommy and Katie Stout of Abbeville. She graduated from Vermilion Catholic High School in 2003. She also attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, earning a bachelor of science in business administration and business management in 2007. She current works at J.P. Morgan Chase Bank.

The groom is the son of Mike and Milly Champagne of New Iberia, Louisiana. He graduated from New Iberia Senior High School in New Iberia in 2005. He then went to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he earned a bachelor of science in business administration, insurance and risk management. He is currently employed at CNA Commercial Property and Casualty Insurance.

The bride wore an ivory sweetheart top and organza ruched dress, topped with a cathedral veil. Her bouquet consisted of ivory flowers. Her maid of honor was Claire Y. Broussard. Her bridesmaids were Marie B. Hebert, Celeste L. Stout, Natalie F. Stout, Angela C. Freyou, Lauren O. Broussard, Cassie R. Domingues, and Rachel M. Romero. The bride's attendents all wore a black chiffon dress of their chooisng.

The best man in the ceremony was Hunter M. Romero. Chad J. Stout, Shane M. Stout, Brian T. Stout, Jake T. Champagne, Zach House, Justin P. Romero, and Justin Kneupper served as groomsmen.

Aubrey Olivia Dembrun served as flower girl for the wedding, while Payton J. Champagne served as ring bearer. Nick Pellerin and Carl Bruce were ushers.
Tommy Guidry served as organist for the ceremony. Yang Yang Lee was violinist and Will Green played trumpet. The song for the processional was Clark's “Prince of Denmark's March.” The recessional was Handel's “La Rejoissance.”

After the ceremony, a recpetion was held at L'Eglise. The bride's cake was a four-tiered ivory cake with fresh ivory flowers. The groom's cake was a four-tiered king cake. The newlyweds took a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and now reside in Houston, Texas.
