Broussard, Bouillion marry in Abbeville

Brandy Broussard of Abbeville, Louisiana, and Dustin Bouillion of Abbeville were united in marriage on February 28, 2014, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville. Father Neil Pettit served as the official for the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Kathy Broussard of Abbeville and Danny Broussard of Abbeville. She is the granddaughter of N.R. Broussard of Abbeville, Bobbie Broussard of Abbeville, and Una and the late Whitney Broussard of Abbeville.

The groom is the son of Daryl and Anne Bouillion of Indian Bayou, Louisiana. He is the grandson of the late Curt and Lenora Bouillion, and William and Leecy Landry of Lafayette, Louisiana.

Brooke Broussard, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Jacie Sagrera (friend of the bride), Adrienne Mejias (friend of the bride), Valerie Dartez (sister of the groom), Elise Legere (friend of the bride) all served as bridesmaids.

Todd Guidry, friend of the groom, served as best man, while Ace Steen (friend of the groom), Andre Thibodeaux (friend of the groom), Schuyler Dartez (brother-in-law of the groom), Leon Beridon (friend of the groom) served as groomsmen.

Lily Mejias, godchild of the bride and daughter of Adrienne and Jason Mejias, was the flower girl for the ceremony. Matthew Mejias, son of Adrienne and Jason Mejias, served as ring bearer.

Sy Bodin (friend of the groom), Andre Boudreaux (friend of the groom), Ethan Hebert (friend of the groom) each served as usher.

After the ceremony, a recpetion was held at Magdalen Place. The couple took a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, and upon their return will reside in Abbeville.

The bride is a 2008 graduate of Vermilion Catholic High School. She graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She currently works at Lafayette General Medical Center. The groom graduated from North Vermilion High School in 2007, and is studying business management at UL. He currently works at Broussard Brothers.
