Frederick, Viguerie united in marriage

Kayla Margarite Frederick of Abbeville, Louisiana, was joined with Broderick Dale Viguerie of Abbeville, Louisiana, in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville. Father Neil Pettit, Associate Pastor of St. Mary Magdalen, served as the official of the wedding.

The bride is the daughter of Debra Frederick and the late Steve Frederick of Abbeville. She is the granddaughter of Dulse Cormier and the late Thomas Cormier of Abbeville.

The groom is the son of Claire Viguerie and the late Willard Dale Viguerie of Nunez. He is the grandson of Johnny Pere and the late Marie Pere.

The bride was escorted by her mother, Debra Frederick. She wore an ivory-fitted A-line with a halter neckline and lace and rhinestone accents finished with a crystal belt and a crystal hair clip. Her bouquet consisted of pink and white roses and pearl accents.

Kasey Frederick, the twin sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Shannon Dawudi, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. The bridesmaids in the ceremony were Megan Conner, Chelsea Gaspard, Mandi Broussard, and Brittany Hebert, all of whom are friends of the bride, and Tiffany Thibodeaux, a cousin of the bride.

The maid and matron of honor wore one-shoulder chiffon dresses with rhinestones in watermelon pink. The bridesmaids wore one-shoulder chiffon dresses in pale pink.

Mohammed Dawudi, brother-in-law of the groom, and Jacob Hargrave, friend of the groom, served as best men. Marcus Breaux, Josh Dent, Everette Alleman, Bryton Gary, all friends of the groom, and Shane Frederick, brother of the bride, served as groomsmen.

The flower girls in the ceremony were Taylor Frederick, niece of the bride, and Ava Dawudi, godchild of the bride. Amir Dawudi, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Tommy Guidry as the organist and Xiao Lu Li playing violin. Claire Viguerie, mother of the groom, and Kathy Cormier, aunt of the bride, gave the readings.

The mother of the bride wore a navy blue, floor-length chiffon scoop neck dress. The mother of the groom, escorted by James Viguerie, wore a purple, floor-length dress.

James Viguerie, brother of the groom, and friends of the bride and groom, Jacob Fleming and Erin Hebert, served as ushers.

A reception followed the ceremony at St. Theresa Family Life Center. Afterward, the couple took a wedding trip on a Carribean cruise. They will reside in Abbeville upon their return.
