Broussard and Romero joined in marriage

Michelle Leigh Broussard and Blake Ross Romero were united in marriage on Saturday November 3, 2012, during a sunset ceremony at Rip Van Winkle Gardens in Jefferson Island. Rev Dan Latour officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Jerry and Lisa Broussard of Kaplan, Louisiana. She is a graduate of Louisiana Technical College as an LPN. She is employed at Lafayette General Surgical Center.

The groom is the son of Ricky and Sally Romero of Erath. He is the owner of Five Star Installation.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a fitted dropped waist gown in oyster-colored dolce satin. It had a modified sweetheart neckline and a ruching bodice. The gown was adorned with diamonte crystals around the neckline and at the dropped waistline. The skirt was draped with soft pickups and fell into a chapel length train. She wore an elbow length veil trimmed in diamonte crystals. She carried a silk bouquet inserted with antique broaches.

Serving as Matron of honor was Amie Magnon, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jill Zaunbrecher, Emily Boudreaux cousins of the bride and Alyssa Stutes. Jr. bridesmaids were Haylie Magnon, godchild of the bride and Hannah Wiggins. Natalie Magnon, niece of the bride, served as flower girl.

The best man was Aaron Romero, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Chase Romero, brother of the groom, Jeff Vincent and Timmy Magnon, brother-in-law of the groom.

Ring bearer was Cayden Wiggins. Ushers were Mitchel Broussard and Matthew Boudreaux, both cousins of the bride.

After returning from a honeymoon to Montego Bay Jamica, the couple will reside in Lafayette, Louisiana.
