Thomas-Brown marry in St. Martinville

Frank Brown and Heather Thomas married October 4, 2014 at the historic Maison de Tours in Saint Martinville, Louisiana. Pastor Chris Lerma of Our Savior’s Church officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Thomas of Kaplan, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hewlett (the former Paula Hebert) of Abbeville. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald “Buddy” Hebert of Abbeville, the later Mr. and Mrs. Allen Thomas, Sr. of Abbeville, and Mrs. David (Ricki) O’Neal and the late Mr. David O’Neal of Lafayette.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Thrash (the former Pat Knight Brown) of Seneca, SC and the late Frank Brown, Jr. of Kentwood. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Knight of Franklinton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brown of Kentwood.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride walked the aisle to Canon in D. She wore a stunning one piece, strapless, slim A-line Maggie Sottero satin gown that combined timeless romance with vintage flair. The champagne colored, corset-backed gown featured an ivory tulle overlay adorned with beaded Alençon lace appliques.
Her mixed bouquet complemented the wedding’s fall colors of bronze, gold, copper and ivory with deep rust and burnt orange accents.
The bride chose good friend Kimberly Fontenot of Lafayette, as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Brittany Landry, sister of the bride and Erin Thomas, sister-in-law of the bride.
Best man was Shane Nicaud, and groomsmen were Jason King and Jody Cicero, all close friends of the groom.
Serving as ring bearers were Shane Nicaud Jr., nephew of the groom, Peyton Thomas and Tucker Thomas, nephews of the bride. Madelyn Nicaud, godchild of the groom, gave a reading from First Corinthians 13:4-7.
After the ceremony, the newly wedded couple joined family and friends for an evening of music and cheer at the St. Martinville venue.
The honeymoon’s tropical destination was a closely-held groom’s secret.
Upon returning, the couple will make their home in Youngsville.
