Taylor-Levine joined in holy matrimony
Miss Krishona Taylor and Mr. Dameon Levine, Sr., of Abbeville were joined in holy matrimony during a ceremony held on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Abbeville, La.
Father Chester Arceneaux officiated the 1 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Edna and Alvin Taylor, I of Abbeville. Her grandparents are the late Mazie and Eddie Landry Sr., and the late Margueritte and Joseph Taylor. Sr.
Parents of the groom are Cynthia Levine and Russell Augustine of Abbeville and Earl Adams of Radcliff, Kentucky. Grandparents are Ms Bell Levine and the late Clarence ‘Sudie’ Levine and Ms. Dora Adams and Clifton Campbell.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Donnie Bolden Jr., and Treana and Marlon Winbush, friends of the bride. Readings were done by Anesha Burgess and Erin Russell, friends of the bride.
Altar server was Tairus Briggs, friend of the bride and groom. Serving as ushers were Nijeal Landry, godchild of the bride and Jamarlon Levine, nephew of the groom.
Escorted by her father and her son, Quinzavion Levy, the bride wore a romantic Christina Wu ivory/silver strapless lace-up gown with a sweetheart neckline accented with a luxurious organza/tulle full multi layered voluminous ruffled skirt. The fitted bodice featured intricately designed beaded lace appliques, crystal and sequin atop stunning visible boning with a chapel length train. A double tiered finger tip length veil with crystal and sequin trim and a crystal tiara completed her ensemble.
For her special day, the bride carried a mix of ivory and guava roses hand made by her mother. She wore her grandmother’s family ring as something old.
DeLannie Delahoussaye, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor and Desiree’ Brailey, cousin of the bride, served as matron on honor. They wore identical strapless satin champagne floor length dresses featuring a stunning and ultra flattering pleated bodice. The full skirt has pockets which created a sleek silhouette.
Bridesmaids included Devin Broussard, sister of the groom; Leslie Green, Marguerite Hairston and LaTyrie Savoy, cousins of the bride; Krystal Harris friend of the bride; Jasmine Levine, cousin of the groom and Jasaundra Lewis, future sister-in-law of the bride.
Their dresses were identical to the maid and matron of honor, but were in a delightful guava color. They carried bouquets of guava hydrangea and rose flowers.
Flower girl was Alirah Taylor, niece of the bride. She wore an ivory organza dress with a champagne spaghetti strap bodice with embroidered lace detail and a champagne ribbon at the waist with a tulle ball gown skirt.
Miniature brides were Damyria and Kamyria Levine, twin daughters of the bride and groom. They wore identical ivory organza ball gowns with spaghetti straps, a scooped neckline and a pleated bodice. The satin waistband featured a champagne flower on the side. The flounced skirts had extensive ruffling and were multi layered as the bride.
The mother of the bride, escorted by her husband and son, Alvin Taylor, II, wore a Nischelle floor length satin champagne gown with intricate tapestry designs over a peplum-bodice with flattering hand sewn sequins. Her coordinating collarless, satin jacket featured three quarter length sleeves embellished with the same intricate tapestry design and the hand sewn sequins.
The groom’s mother was escorted by Russell Augustin and wore a two piece satin outfit. The dress was ivory, ankle length with a flared hemline with champagne and ivory accents. The jacket was a mixture of ivory and champagne and featured three quarter length sleeves and was adorned with a sparkling crystal/champagne clasp. A matching hat completed her ensemble.
Kevin Levine served as best man. He wore an After 6 Black Troy tuxedo with two button notch coat with a champagne jacket, ivory shirt and a champagne necktie. Groomsmen included Joshua Levine (wore the same attire as the best man), Ronald Lewis Jr., Grant Plowden, Walter Rideaux, III, cousins of the groom; Terry Bessard, Jr., Phillip Huntsberry and Kevin Sam, friends of the groom and Alvin Taylor, II, brother of the bride. They wore identical tuxedos as the best man with guava jackets and guava neckties.
Ring bearer was Daelon Levin, son of the groom and miniature groom was Dameon Levine, Jr., son of the groom.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the VN Hall.
After their return from a wedding trip to Las Vegas, the couple will reside in Abbeville.
