Katie Domingue-Kenneth Taylor say vows

Miss Katie Domingue of Erath, and Kenneth Taylor of West Monroe, were joined in holy matrimony during a ceremony at St. John’s Catholic Church in Erath on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015. Father Emmanuel Fernandez and Reverend Alec Flynt officiated the 2 p.m. nuptials.
The bride is the daughter of Chris and Angela Domingue of Erath. Grandparents include Donald and Elleda Domingue of Abbeville, Mary Ernia Simoneaux of Crowley, and the late Henry Touchet of Gueydan.
The groom is the son of Ken And Terra Taylor of West Monroe, La. Grandparents include Bonnie Taylor of West Monroe, and James Hancock of Burr Hill, VA.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Samantha Parker on the violin and Jay Pettit on the piano.
Readings were done by Brandi St. Germain, friend of the bride and Samantha Hancock, cousin of the groom.
The mother of the bride was escorted by Noah Domingue, brother of the bride. She wore a navy blue floor length dress with embellishments on the top.
The mother of the groom was escorted by her husband, Ken Taylor.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a romantic ivory ball gown found exclusively at A-Net’s Bridal Boutique. This gown combines soft tulle and delicate lace beautifully. The strapless, fitted bodice features lace, a sweetheart neckline, and Swarovski crystal detail at the natural waistline. The gown is edged with an intricate lace scallop. The bride’s look was completed with a cathedral train adorned with covered buttons and Swarovski crystals.
She carried a bouquet of various shades of purple peonies with white accent roses.
Serving as the matron of honor was Emerald “Emi” Harris. Bridesmaids included Danielle, Downey, Brandi St. Germain, Shelby Domingue, Sarah Gauthier, Lauren Bramstedt, Mary Grace “Gracie” Taylor and Katherine Tomeny.
Each attendant wore a different colored knee length satin dress with a ruched bodice.
Best man was Casey Taylor. Groomsmen included Austin Taylor, Zachary Parker, Ryan Meadows, Seth Hall, Rob Hansen, Michael Sumner, and Noah Domingue.
A reception was held at the St. Theresa Hall in Abbeville immediately following the ceremony.
Upon their return from a wedding trip to England, the couple will reside in Mobile, AL.
