Carla Frederick and Josh Lemaire united in Abbeville ceremony

Miss Carla Rachelle Frederick and Joshua Elroy Lemaire were joined in holy matrimony during a cerermony held on January 2, 2015 at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Abbeville.
Father Kendal Faulk officiated the 6:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Charles and Denis Frederick of Abbeville. Grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Falcon, the late Royce Frederick and Lola Frederick, all of Abbeville.
He is the son of Mr. Elroy Lemaire and Ms. Margaret Schexnider.
Grandparents of the groom are the late Mr. and Mrs. Garvis Lemaire of Forked Island and Mr. and Mrs. Levi Schexnider of Indian Bayou.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Richard Sellers, Francis LeBlanc, Jared Gray on the trumpet and Xiaolu Li on the violin.
Readings were done by Gayla Falcon and Paul Frederick, godparents of the bride.
Ushers were Matthew Faulk and Brit Faulk, cousins of the groom.
The mother of the bride was escorted by her son, Brian Frederick. She wore a pink and black sleeveless dress which featured a flocked laced bodice, a banded skirt with sheer trumpet, and a sash at the waist.
The mother of the groom was escorted by her son. She wore an elegant floor length mint green dress with a matching jacket embellished with sequins.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory satin gown with beaded lace applique, ruched bodice and featured a sweetheart neckline with a corseted back. A chapel length train completed the ensemble. The cathedral length veil was accented with beaded embroidered appliques.
For her special day, the bride carried a bouquet of red and white roses, along with calla lilies.
Sheri Frederick, sister of the bride, attended as maid of honor. Matron of honor was Esther Frederick, sister-in-law of the bride. Bridesmaids included Brandi Landry, and Paige Suire, both friends of the bride, Ramsey Lalanne, cousin of the bride, and Gidget Menard Vincent, cousin of the groom. Flower girl was Lola Frederick, godchild of the bride.
The attendants wore apple colored dresses with a sleeveless bodice featuring a corded lace illusion sweetheart neckline and an illusion V-back. The dresses also featured a meche skirt, ruched waist and front leg slit. The flower girl wore a soft white dress with an illusion capped sleeve bodice with dot tulle detail, ruched waist and a ball gown skirt.
They carried bouquets of calla lilies.
Levi Schexnider, grandfather of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included Brian Frederick, brother of the bride; Andrew Guidry, brother of the groom; Kyle Dupuy cousin of the groom; Dennis Faulk, uncle of the groom, and Mitchell Laperouse, cousin of the bride.
Immediately following the wedding, a reception was held at the Caldwell House of Abbeville.
Upon their return from a Carribean cruise, the couple will reside in Kaplan.
