Broussard-Trahan say wedding vows

St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Maurice was the setting for the wedding of Miss Tabatha Broussard and Mr. Joshua Trahan.
Reverend Joseph Breaux, pastor, officiated the 6 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, November 8, 2014.
The bride is the daughter of Tim and Jessica Broussard of Maurice, La. Her grandparents are Lou Broussard and the late H. Fred Broussard of Maurice, and Lardy Meaux and the late Didier Ellie Meaux of Abbeville.
The parents of the groom are Randy and Francie Aube. His grandparents are Daniel and Gloria Mouton from Kaplan, La.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Tammy Maturin.
Readings were done by Emily Broussard, cousin of the bride and Judy DeHart, aunt of the bride.
Ushers included Greg Vincent, cousin of the bride; Jacob Langlinais, cousin of the bride; and Matthew DeHart, cousin of the bride.
The mother of the bride was escorted by Jeremy Broussard, brother of the bride. The mother of the groom was escorted by Joshua Trahan.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a stunning design chosen from A-Net’s Bridal Boutique. The slim fit and flare gown, made of soft ivory lace, featured a romantic scoop neckline and off the shoulder cap sleeves. The backline flowed into a deep V-shape with cascading covered buttons. The bride’s ensemble was made complete by a chapel length train and scalloped lace hem. The bride wore her mother’s original wedding veil lined with lace from her moter’s wedding dress.
Chelise Saunier, friend of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Dawn Broussard, sister-in-law of the bride; Natalie Couvillon, cousin of the bride; Taylor Hebert, sister-in-law of the groom; Holly Lachaussee and Hope Lachaussee, both friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Kelsie Vice, godchild of the groom. The flower girl was Jovi Broussard, godchild of the bride.
Jace Hebert, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included Keith Foreman and Ron Lege, friends of the groom; Jeremy Broussard, brother of the bride; Casey Gnau and Toby Vice, friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Parker Hebert, godchild of the groom and Deggen Broussard, godchild of the bride. Jr. groomsman was Jag Broussard, godchild of the bride.
Following the wedding, a reception was held at Black’s Reception and Banquet Hall in Abbeville.
Upon their return from a wedding trip to Los Angeles, California, the couple will reside in Maurice.
