Brandi Landry becomes Mrs. Gerald ‘Jay’ Monceaux III

Miss Brandi Landry and Mr. Gerald ‘Jay’ Monceaux III were joined in holy matrimony on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville.
Father Louis Richard officiated the 6:30 p.m. nuptials.
The bride is the daughter of Chuck and Nicole Landry of Breaux Bridge and Dina and Blair Dore of Abbeville. Her grandparents are Judy Landry and the late Larry Landry of Abbeville, the late Elie and Mickey Menard of Abbeville, and Jean Melancon and the late Ellis Melancon Sr. of Breaux Bridge.
The groom is the son of Gerald and Deby Monceaux of Abbeville. His grandparents are Juanita Gonzales and Herman Baudoin of Abbeville and the late Sandra McMurtrey of Abbeville.
Music for the special occasion was provided by Tommy Guidry, organist and Francis LeBlanc, vocalist.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a figure hugging Agusta Jones lace wedding gown with a drop V-neckline and barely there capped sleeves trimmed with delicate lace scallops followed by a dramatic keyhole back from Bustle in Baton Rouge.
The bride wore a custom made nine foot cathedral veil accented with a rhinestone and pearl barrette.
Her bouquet consisted of a combination of Vendela, garden, and sweetheart roses, accompanied by peonies and freesia, hand wrapped in burlap and lace, accented in pearls.
Ashlyn Landry, sister of the bride, served as the maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Kristin Brasseaux, cousin of the bride; Victoria Sagrera, Carla LeMaire, Camille Delcambre, Blair Bella and Ashlee Guilbeau, all lifelong friends of the bride.
The attendants wore a navy A-line gown with a tapered strap V-neckline which features a ruching on the bodice and lace on the straps, accompanied by an elegant keyhole back designed by Belsoie from Bustle in Baton Rouge. They carried bouquets of various shades of pink peonies, Vendela and pink roses accented with freesia and hand tied with burlap with lace streamers.
Mia Brasseaux, daughter of Jared and Brooke Brasseaux, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl.
Trey Vines, lifelong friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included Mitchel Suire, Cameron Faulk, Branden Trahan, Jacob Bourque, Christopher Peltier and Anthony Frederick, all lifelong friends of the groom.
Ring bearer was Mason Bourg, son of Daniel and Samantha Bourg, nephew of the groom.
Ushers were Mitchell Laperouse, Jonathan George and Kaleb Brasseaux.
A reception was held immediately following the wedding at Black’s in Abbeville.
The bride is a 2009 graduate of Abbeville High School and a 2015 graduate of UL at Lafayette with a Bachelors of General Studies-concentration in Behavioral Sciences. She is currently employed at Acadian Orthodontics.
The groom is a 2009 graduate of Abbeville High School and a 2014 graduate of UL at Lafayette with a Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial Technology. He is curretnly employed at Cameron International.
