Angel Campbell becomes Mrs. Shawn Witt

Miss Angel Campbell and Mr. Shawn Witt, both of Oklahoma City, OK, were joined in marriage during a ceremony held on August 16, 2014 at St. John First Baptist Church in Corpus Christi, TX. The 4 p.m. ceremony was was officiated by Rev. William L. Pullam, pastor.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Campbell of Corpus Christi, TX. Her grandparents are Irene Hawthorne of Abbeville, La. and Arlena Pullam of Corpus Christi, TX.
The groom is the son of Mr. Timothy Witt and Ms. Glin Witt of Oklahoma City, OK. His grandparent is Drucilla Witt of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Dariyan Wayne Greene. Prayer was give by Rev. Rodney Payne, the couple’s pastor in Oklahoma City, OK.
Ushers included Charles Moore and Michael Garcia, both childhood friends of the bride.
The mother of the bride was escorted by her husband. She wore a floor length, flowing orange ball gown with ruffled rouging, held together by one strap shoulder and embellished with dark grey sequins around the waistline and shoulder.
The mother of the groom was escorted by Michael Garcia. She wore a long orange ball gown, gathered at the center with colorful rhinestones centered at the top of the dress accompanied by a fringed shawl.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a classic white lace vintage, fitted gown, with a small train. The elegant gown was covered in lace flowers, small rhinestones, satin slip and a lace overlay. In her hair, the bride wore classic rhinestone and pearl hair broach.
Ashley Knox, best friend of the bride for 24 years, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included J’Vonne Ogles, Marrina Boontheekul, and Jennifer Robinson, all college friends of the bride, and Christy Coffee, church friend of the bride. The flower girl was Kha’Mani Olivier, second cousin of the bride. Samarea Williams, the groom’s second cousin, was the sign bearer.
The attendants wore floor length gowns with one strap for the bridesmaids and strapless for the maid of honor. A tear drop necklace was worn by the maid of honor and pearl drop earrings and bracelets were worn by all the attendants. The flower girl and sign bearer wore white lace dresses to match the bride’s, along with organ ruffle socks.
Joshua Hillard, best friend of the groom for 16 years and line brother, served as best man. Groomsmen included Christon Royal, childhood friend of the groom; Billy Mitchell, line brother to the groom; and DeitrickWatson and Antijuan Walker, both friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Blaine Gregory Williams Jr., the bride’s godson.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Solomon P. Ortiz Center
Following a wedding trip to the Dominican Republic-Punta Cana, the couple will reside in Oklahoma City
