Wedding bells ring for Thibodeaux and Duhon

Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kaplan hosted the exchange of nuptial vows between Niki Thibodeaux and Ryan Duhon on Friday, May 29, 2009. The 6:30 p.m. ceremony was officiated by Fr. David Broussard.

Niki is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Thibodeaux.

Ryan is the son of Paul Duhon of Maurice and Marcelle Frederick of Abbeville.

Escorted by her father, Guy Thibodeaux, the bride wore a strapless gown of ivory Italian satin, featuring a modified sweetheart neckline. Fresh water pearls, Swarovski crystals, and bugle beads enhanced Schiffli lace decorating the empire waist. Pleated satin overlapped at the natural waist. Wide sashes, beaded and embroidered at the ends, flowed down the back of the trumpet skirt.

The Maid of Honor for the wedding was Amanda L, Dupuis, a friend of the bride. Serving as Bridesmaids were Katie Broussard, friend of the bride; Ashley Trahan, friend of the bride; Lani S. DeHart, friend of the bride; Brittany L. Thibodeaux, sister-in-law; Taylor Duhon, sister of the groom; Lauren Landry, friend of the bride; and Meagan Yeates, friend of the bride. Also included as the Flower girls were Bree Duhon and Ann Claire Broussard, along with Josh Sagrera, who served as the Ring bearer.

The Best Man for the wedding was Matt Duhon, brother of the groom. Standing as Groomsmen for the event were Will Armstrong, brother of the groom; Brooks Yeates, friend of the groom; Josh Hollier, friend of the groom; Coy Durke, friend of the groom; Steffan Primeaux, friend of the groom; Josh Duhon, cousin of the groom; and Brodie Broussard, friend of the groom.

Ushers at the ceremony were Garett Thibodeaux, brother of the bride; Anthony Frederick, cousin of the groom; Chip Duhon, cousin of the groom; and Kelly Breaux, friend of the groom.
