Vice and Goutierrez exchange vows

Amber Raven Vice and Chip Bernard Goutierrez exchanged wedding vows on Feb 13, 2010, during a 5:30 p.m. ceremony at Magdalen Square. Mr. Roland Suire officiated the ceremony.

Amber is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Dale Guidry of Abbeville and Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Vice Jr. of Abbeville. She is the granddaughter of Ms. Verna Benoit, Ray Harrington and the late Yula Harrington, all of Erath; Mrs. Mary Joyce Vice and the late Elvin Vice Sr. of Abbeville.

Chip is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ned Goutierrez Jr. of Erath. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Delahoussaye and Mrs. Ledie Goutierrez and the late Ned Goutierrez Sr. of Erath.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a beautiful Edens gown that is a beaded satin A-line gown. It is highlighted by a fully adorned bodice featuring a bias band empire detail and lace-up back. The full A-line skirt is embroidered and beaded to match with a chapel-length train. The bride’s bouquet consisted of three dozen red roses, which featured an ivory ribbon that accented three special rosaries of the bride’s deceased grandmother, Yula Harrington, the groom’s deceased brother, Garrett Goutierrez; and the groom’s “special” aunt, Amy Trahan.

Serving as Matron-of-Honor was Shayna Foret, cousin of the bride. Ashley Vice, sister-in-law of the bride; Haley Vice, sister of the bride; Colleen Goutierrez, sister-in-law of the groom; Jill Bourque, friend of the bride; Gabrielle Stoute, friend of the bride; Erica Menard, friend of the bride. Serving as Junior Bridesmaid was Jenna Harrington, cousin of the bride.

The Bridesmaids each wore an Alexia Style cream colored satin strapless gown with a rounded bust line that featured black lace with a satin cream colored belt and bow. The attendants all carried bouquets of a dozen red roses.

The Flower girls was Sierra Gaspard, step-sister of the bride. She wore an ivory satin floor length gown with a champagne colored sash that wrapped around the front and back and hung down the back of her dress. She also carried a red Kissing Ball bouquet.

Abigail Goutierrez, cousin of the groom, served as the Miniature Flower Girl. She wore an ivory colored floor length gown with a beaded pearl top and also carried a red Kissing Ball bouquet. The Miniature Bride was Remi Briolo, friend of the bride and groom. She wore an ivory Mary Style cupids collection gown, which featured exquisite crystal details on the spaghetti strapped satin A-line gown that was additionally embroidered with metallic threaded beading. She, too, carried a red Kissing Ball.

Serving as the Best Man was Eddie Goutierrez, brother of the groom. Groomsmen included Coby Vice, brother of the bride; Jabian Huntsberry, friend of the groom; Chuck Briolo, friend of the groom; Kyle Clinton, friend of the groom; Jeremy Viator, friend of the groom; and Jace Harrington, cousin of the bride. The Junior Groomsman was Bailey Touchet, cousin of the groom. Serving as Ring Bearers were Ethan Goutierrez, nephew of the groom; and Lane Garrett Goutierrez, godchild of the groom. The Miniature groom was Christen Migues, son of the bride. Ushers for the ceremony were Ryan Bares, cousin of the groom; and Farron Goutierrez, godfather of the groom.

The bride’s mother chose a spaghetti strap claret colored cocktail dress with a beaded, three-tiered around bottom with front criss-cross opening at the front and ankles. A beaded, mesh colored jacket in claret completed the ensemble.

The groom’s mother chose a champagne colored gown with a beaded medallion. It centered the beautifully pleated bodice of an elegant satin with the look of two pieces. A curvy bolero jacket provided coverage.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Erath Community Center Building in Erath City Park. Music for the ceremony was provided by Frankie Romero.

After a wedding trip to an undisclosed destination, the couple will reside in Erath.

A rehearsal dinner was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Ned Goutierrez Jr. on January 28, 2010 at the American Legion Hall in Erath.
