Trissy Hargrave to be buried on Sunday
By Chris Rosa
Twenty-four-year-old Trissy Raelee Hargrave of Kaplan was killed in a two-car accident Friday morning at around 2:30 a.m. on Ambassador Caffery.
A northbound vehicle hit Hargrave’s car vehicle in the 1500 block of Ambassador Caffery Parkway, police said. The northbound vehicle caught fire and the person driving that car was killed.
Brittany Castille, from St. Martinville, was with Hargrave and is in critical condition in a Lafayette hospital.
Funeral services for Hargrave will be today at 1 p.m. in Kaplan. Vincent Funeral Home in Kaplan is handling the arrangements.
She is the daughter of Raywood and Ella Hargrave of Kaplan.
The crash followed an incident at the Shoprite in the 4000 block of West Congress in which a clerk reported that people who appeared intoxicated were banging on the windows to be let in. They were gone when officers arrived, police said.
Police say they can’t confirm that the vehicle involved in the crash was the one connected to the incident at Shoprite.
