VC Lady Eagles win final district game

The Vermilion Catholic Lady Eagles softball team played their last district softball game of the year, and they ended on a high note.
The Lady Eagles beat Highland Baptist by the final score of 13-3.
Kaylee White had another solid day on the mound for the Lady Eagles.
White pitched all five innings, and in her time on the mound she only gave up three runs on seven hits.
She was also able to strike out three Highland batters.
Caroline David led the way for the Lady Eagles at the plate.
David was 2-for-3 from the plate with three RBIs and a run scored.
Zanasica Bernard also had a good day at the plate.
Bernard was 2-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored.
Bella Doucet also had two RBIS and two runs scored for the Lady Eagles.
The Lady Eagles record now stands at 11-12 overall and 7-5 in district play.
This game marked the last district game for the Lady Eagles, and they only have one game remaining against St. Edmunds of Eunice.
That game will take place tomorrow at 4 p.m..
