VC Lady Eagles clobber LCA, 17-2
The last time the Vermilion Catholic Eagles and Lafayette Christian faced off, LCA got the better of VC by the final score of 4-3, at VC nonetheless.
On Thursday, the Lady Eagles returned the favor by beating LCA in Lafayette by the final score of 17-2.
The bats for the Lady Eagles got hot, and they scored runs early and often.
VC managed to score three runs in the first, six runs in the second, three runs in the third and finally five runs in the fourth to win 17-2.
Kelly White had a solid day on the mound.
She pitched all four inning and only allowed two runs on three hits.
Leading the way at the plate for the Lady Eagles was Leah Camel and Katie Frith.
Frith was 2-for-2 from the plate. She also scored three runs and four RBIs.
Camel went 3-for-4, and she too scored three runs to go along with three RBIs.
Bella Doucet and Haley Faulk both went 2-for-2 from the plate.
Doucet scored two runs, and drove in two runs.
Faulk to go along with her three hits score three runs.
The Lady Eagles record now stands at 9-12 overall and 5-5 in district play.
They will return to the field on Tuesday against Gueydan.
