VC , Kaplan ladies cruise to victories

The VC Lady Eagles cruised to an 8-1 win over the Gueydan Honey Bears on Tuesday in a district game.
VC pitcher Kelly White pitched all seven innings and allowed two hits and fanned six for the victory.
The Lady Eagles had three players with multiple hits, including Katie Frith, who went 3 for 4 with one RBI. She also scored two runs.
Leah Camel was 2-for-3, two RBI and scored two runs
Mary Meaux was also 2-for-3 at the plate and scored a run.
Other hitters for VC were Bella Doucet (1-for-3, RBI), Zanisica Bernard (1-for-2, RBI), Caroline David (1-for-2, 2 RBI).
VC is at home today against Highland Baptist with a 5 p.m. start.

The Lady Pirates if Kaplan continued to roll in district after beating Abbeville 14-0 on Tuesday.
Kaplan jumped out to a 7-0 lead after two innings.
Lindsey Schexnailder paced Kaplan going 4-for-4 with three singles and a double.
Caroline Touchet was 3-for-3 with two singles and a triple for Kaplan.
Abbie Trahan fanned 11 Abbeville batters to get the victory on the hill for KHS. She allowed two hits in five innings.
Three people pitched for AHS. Emily Schexnayder went two innings, then Angelle Domingue pitched another two innings and Abbie Trahan pitched the final inning.
Alexa Lege and Daijah Phillips had Abbeville’s only two hits.
Abbeville is back in action tonight at West St. Mary.

Delcambre...4

The Delcambre Lady Panthers scored four runs in the third inning but could not hold a 4-1 lead and lost 8-4 against Opelousas Catholic on Tuesday.
Delcambre racked up six hits in the loss.
Taylor Moneaux went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs for Delcambre.
Tori Verret was 1-for=4 with a double, while teammate Allison Broussard was 2-for-3 for DHS.
Payton LeBlanc also had a hit for Delcambre.
Opelousas Catholic scored seven runs in the final three innings.
Taking the loss for DHS on the hill was Taylor Trahan. Trahan pitched six innings, struck out five, allowed eight hits and walked six.
