VC has easy win over Centerville

Frith is a perfect 11-for-11 for 383 yards

CENTERVILLE - The Vermilion Catholic Eagles scored 49 points in the first half and cruised to a 56-13 victory over Centerville.
Centerville did jump on VC in the first quarter, taking a 6-0 lead four minutes into the game.
But the lead was short and sweet.
A minute later, VC was in the end zone.
Hunter Frith connected with Tyler Derouen for a 40-yard touchdown pass. Emile Trahan nailed the extra point and VC was on top for good.
Frith threw six touchdowns and 383 yards. He was 11-for-11.
He connected with Devren Constantine for a 60-yard touchdown, and Trahan nailed his second straight extra point for a 14-6 lead at the 4:11 mark in the first period.
Frith went on to throw touchdown passes of 54 yards, 61 yards and 68 yards, all in the first half.
Derouen had two touchdown receptions thay totaled 94 yards. Payton Trahan had the 61-yard TD catch, while Emile Trahan had a 68-yard TD catch.
The Eagles did have three touchdowns on the ground.
Kalix Broussard had a 4-yard TD run, and Austin Belaire also a had 4 yard TD.
Caleb LeBlanc scored from 20 yards out with 7:56 to play in the game. Emile, Cade Boudreaux and Hunter Carter each kicked extra points for VC.
Eight different Eagles ran the football.
Gabriel Broussard had four touches for 25 yards to lead VC. Kalix touched it twice foe 16 carries.
Austin Balaire had three carries for 7 yards.
