Patriots take on West St. Mary

The North Vermilion Patriots and Lady Patriots are playing host to district rival West St. Mary tonight.

Both the Patriots and Lady Patriots need to get victories for different reasons.

The Patriots are in the middle of trying to win the district title and are tied with Kaplan for the lead.

A win against West St. Mary would give them the confidence they need to finish out the season strong.

The Lady Patriots need a win against West St. Mary because they are fighting for a spot in the playoffs.

The Lady Patriots are currently sitting in the 34th spot of the power rankings, and only the top 32 make it into the tournament.

Tuesday night saw the return of Simone Pillete for the Lady Patriots.

Pillette has been a huge asset for NV, and they sorely missed her.

Now that she is back, the Lady Patriots are going to need to see her and the rest of the team step up if they hope to send West St. Mary home with a loss.

The Patriots on the other hand are rolling as of late, winning three of their last four games.

If they hope to continue this good play they are going to need to see Jordan Windmon and Donald Comeaux to continue to come up big for the Patriots.

The Patriots are also ranked 12th in the power rankings with a little over a week remaining in the season.

The game against West St. Mary is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.

The Lady Patriots will play first and then the Patriots will follow.
