Lady Wildcats end losing streak

The Abbeville Lady Wildcats (8-5, 1-3) got a big win against district rival West St. Mary by the final score of 14-4.

Angelle Domingue was the starting pitcher and got the victory for the Lady Wildcats. She was also 2-for-3 from the plate with a single and a double.

Holly Mire would come in and pitch the final three innings for the Lady Wildcats.

Combined Domingue and Mire would give up only four runs, only two were earned, on four hits.

They would also combine to fan two West St. Mary batters.

Caitlyn Hebert led the way for the Lady Wildcats from the plate.

She would go 3-for-4 with two doubles and a triple.

Alexis Broussard was 2-for-2 on the day with a double and a triple.

The Lady Wildcats squared off agianst the North Vermilion Lady Patriots last night as part of a makeup game from earlier in the year.

They now have to turn right back around and host the Erath Lady Bobcats today.

First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m..
