Lady Pirates continue to roll
Last week was a busy week for the Kaplan Lady Pirates.
Not only did they finish their district season with a win against rival Notre Dame, but they also clinched the District 6-3A title.
To make the week even better, the Lady Pirates finished the week off by extending their winning streak to eight games by beating Dutchtown 10-4, Saturday afternoon.
Abby Trahan pitched all seven innings, and only allowed four runs on nine hits.
Trahan also struck out eight Dutchtown batters.
Caroline Touchet and Lindsey Schexnailder each had three hits in the game.
Schexnailder drove in three RBIs on her three hits, and Touchet drove in two runs for the Lady Pirates.
The Lady Pirates have two games left before the end of the season.
They will play Cecilla tonight, starting tonight at 4 p.m., and Westminster tomorrow night.
Both of those games will be played at Kaplan.
