Lady Eagles dominate AES 44-22

After defeating Hanson Friday night, the Vermilion Catholic Lady Eagles extended their winning streak to three games after a 44-22 win over Ascension Episcopal Saturday.
In the three wins over Abbeville, Hanson and AES, VC has beaten opponents by an average of 19 points per game.
A big second quarter by VC gave them a 25-10 cushion at halftime.
The Eagles outscored AES by seven in the second half to secure the 22-point victory.
Ashailee Brailey led the team in scoring with 18 points.
Other VC scorers were: Olivia Chiasson (2), Lexi Langlinais (2), Zanesia Bernard (4), Leah Camel (4) and Kaylen Collins (10).
Sara Seago led AES with 6 points, followed by Chelsea Lotief with 4.
With the win, Vermilion Catholic improves their record to 11-3 on the season with a 2-0 district mark.
The loss drops AES to a 6-7 record.
The Lady Eagles will be in action on the road tonight against district rival Lafayette Christian Academy.
