Lady Bobcats playoff bound

The Erath Lady Bobcats soccer team is headed to the 2014 State Championship playoffs.

The Lady Bobcats are ranked number 25 and will be traveling to New Orleans to take on Episcopal tonight.

“The girls played really hard throughout the entire year,” Lady Bobcats Head Coach Kerry Richard said. “I’m very proud of our team and what they were able to accomplish.”

Coach Richard also mentioned that the team making the playoffs has important implications for the future of the program.

“We have something going here at Erath and it is a great stepping stone for the growth of the Erath girls soccer team.

As for the game itself, “They are very beatable, but we are going to have to play our A game,” Richard said. “Soccer is about athleticism and skill, but it is also about soccer knowledge. If we can put all that together we can do this.
