Erath’s Drew Primeaux signs LOI, will attend Hutchinson Community College

Erath’s Drew Primeaux signed a letter of intent to attend Hutchinson Community College in Kansas.
Primeaux underwent Tommy John surgery last year, but is hopeful that he will be able to contribute to help his team toward the end of his senior year.
“This furthers my baseball career,” he said. “I just want to help out at the plate and help my team win. I’m not going to rush anything.”
Aside from pitching, Primeaux played shortstop among other positions. Versatility is valuable in baseball, and Primeaux’s versatility helped him land with Hutchinson.
“He’s a very good baseball player,” said Erath baseball coach David Jordan. “He has great eyes and has great instincts. He has a good glove and an A+ arm.”
With Primeaux deciding to continue his baseball career in Kansas, Jordan gave him some advice to keep.
“Make the most of your opportunities,” Jordan said. “Understand that this is a golden opportunity. Keep in mind what got you here. Don’t stop setting goals.”
