ERATH - A Mass of Christian Burial for Willis Thibodeaux, 85, will be 3:30 Wednesday October 21, 2015 in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Eugene Tremie officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath Wednesday from 11:00 AM until mass time with recitation of the rosary at 1PM.
Willis , a native of Broussard, and a resident of Erath passed away Sunday October 18, 2015 at Maison Du Lafayette.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He loved French music and playing accordion with several different musicians and bands in the area.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Vice Thibodeaux of Erath; sons Ronnie “Foot” Thibodeaux of Erath, and David Thibodeaux and wife Dawn of Broussard; daughters Linda Guilbeau and husband Wilfred, Charlene Lagneaux and husband Veron, Sandra LaBiche and husband David all of Lafayette; sister Maria “Toot” Dupuis of De Ridder; 11 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
Serving as his Pallbearers will be Donald James Campbell, David Thibodeaux, David La Biche, Arthur Thibodeaux, Allen Touchet, and Clint Bourque.
