ABBEVILLE – Funeral services for Walter C. Robinson, Jr. is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church – 300 S. Lamar Street. He will await the resurrection in St. Paul Cemetery. Rev. Ennis Sullivan will officiate the service.
Walter C. Robinson (79) a long time resident of Abbeville passed away Monday, May 9, 2016 at his residence.
He leaves to mourn, but in God’s care, his lovely wife, Audrey S. Robinson of Abbeville, LA; his children, Melissa Martinez of Englewood, CA; Ida and Tammy of Kaplan, LA; his step-children, Terry Matthews (Sheila), Michael Matthews (Carla), both of Abbeville, LA; Stephanie M. Brannon (Lawrence) of Winston-Salem, NC; a brother, Thomas Vallot (Athelen) of Abbeville, LA; two sisters, Freida Levine (Herbert) of Abbeville, LA; and Margie Williams (Eddie) of Sacramento, CA; a daughter-in-law, Colette Thibeaux; twelve Grandchildren, seventeen Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by both parents, Walter C. Robinson, Sr. and Hazel Vallot; his siblings, Delores Robinson and Charles Vallot, Sr.; and one step-son, Ronald C. Thibeaux. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will take place at the church (Mt. Triumph) Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 8:00 A.M. until time of service.
