Ussay Broussard Toups

ERATH – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Ussay Broussard Toups, 85, will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Melancon officiating.  Interment will follow at St John Mausoleum of Lafayette.
Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 10:00AM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00OPM.  Visitation will resume on Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 8:00AM until the time of the services.
A native and lifelong resident of Erath, Mrs. Toups died at 12:00AM on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Maison de Monde Nursing Home.  She worked as a dietitian at Cornerstone North in Lafayette and Morris Lahasky Nursing Home in Erath where she retired after over 10 years of service.
She is survived by three children, Deborah T. Hebert and her husband Cliff Hebert, Jr. of Erath, Tammy M. Toups of Lake Charles, and Leo Charles Toups, Jr. and his wife Kandy of Carencro; two sisters, Gussie Landry of Abbeville and Earline Baudoin of Erath; three sister in laws, Laura Putnam, Betty Beggs, and Jenny Broussard; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren.
 Serving as pallbearers will be Shawn Girard, Shane Girard, Shannon Girard, Leo Charles Toups, Jr., Jonathan Girard,  Cliff Hebert, Jr., and Nelson Trahan, Jr.
