Rowena Faye Broussard Sagrera

ABBEVILLE—Funeral services will be held Friday, April 11, 2014 at a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Rowena Faye Broussard Sagrera, 82, who died Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Eastridge Nursing Center.
She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Brandon Sagrera, Luke Dubois, Sean Bengston, Colby Bengston, Stephen Sagrera, and Kevin Sagrera. Hononary pallbearers will be Bryce Sagrera, Gage Gaspard, and Drake Gaspard.
She is survived by two sons, Rodney Sagrera and wife Jan of Abbeville, and David Sagrera of Abbeville; two grandchildren, Brandon Sagrera and Hope Sagrera Dubois; four great grandchildren, Laurie Sagrera, Bryce Sagrera, Gage Gaspard, and Drake Gaspard; one adopted daughter, Huong Vo Pham and husband Chris of Houston; two brothers, John "Buster" Broussard and wife Christina of Abbeville, and Barney Broussard of Abbeville; two sisters, Gail Broussard of Abbeville, and Sister Joan Broussard O. Carm. of New Orleans; two step-sons, Ralph Sagrera and wife Kathy of New Orleans, and Wayne Sagrera and wife Rose of Abbeville; five step grandchildren, Monica Sagrera Bourgeois, Stephen Sagrera, Kevin Sagrera, Craig Sagrera, and Raphael Sagrera; twelve step great grandchildren, Brennan Brown, Bryce Brown, Matthew Sagrera, Rebecca Sagrera, Sarah Sagrera, Jacob Sagrera, Logan Sagrera, Josh Sagrera, Gabrielle Sagrera, Grace Sagrera, Jackson Sagrera, and Wyatt Sagrera.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Sagrera; parents, Valin and Stella Broussard; one daughter, Stephanie Sagrera; one step grandson, Mitchell Sagrera; and one brother, Robert Broussard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, April 10, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
