Rena Mae Broussard

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at a 2:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Maurice, for Rena Mae Broussard, 91, who passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Interment will be held in St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Maurice.
Reverend O. Joseph Breaux, Pastor of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Maurice, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Rena Mae was a lifelong resident of Maurice and previous owner of Will’s IG Food and Hardware Store in Maurice. She was a member of the St. Alphonsus Ladies Altar Society. She enjoyed playing pokeno and will be greatly missed for her cooking and baking for family and friends. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her.
She is survived by three children, Sandra A. Broussard, Glenn R. Broussard and his wife Deanna Smith Broussard and Anita L. Broussard; two grandchildren, Brett and Trey Broussard; five children that she considered to be grandchildren of her own, Brooke Brasseaux, Jake Montet, Tayler Montet, Kaleb and Mia Brasseaux; two sisters, Mary Ann Morgan and Jo Anna Luquette; and one Godchild, Randy Morgan and his wife Cindy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert J. Broussard; and her parents, Odeus and Ovelia Vincent Luquette.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 in Delhomme Funeral Home in Maurice from 8:00 AM until the time of service. A Rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am on Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Glenn , Brett and Trey Broussard, Randy Morgan, Jake Montet and Jared Brasseaux.
