Myrdis Mae Dumond

ABBEVILLE—Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Myrdis Mae Dumond, 88, who died Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Eastridge Nursing Center.
She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Colby Dumond, Shawn Dumond, Corey Dumond, Brooke Dumond, Donnie Broussard and Shannon Trahan.
She is survived by her daughter, Juliette Dumond; one son, Grady Dumond and his wife Sherin; three grandsons, Colby Dumond, Shawn Dumond and Gerald David Adams; two granddaughters, Angelle Dumond and Andre’ Dumond; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Gracie Broussard and Sheran Lee; brothers, Gerald Broussard and Ashley Broussard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Semar Broussard and the former Laticia Stelly; son, Clayton Dumond; brother, Pervis Broussard; sister, Beverly Adams; and granddaughter, Crystal Dumond.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Monday, March 24, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Tuesday March 25, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
