ABBEVILLE—Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Mark Lege, 58, who died Friday, October 10, 2014 at his residence.
He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ozan Gaspard, Braden Gaspard, Roland Lege, Kevin Arp, Kenneth “Buffy” Dartez and Edwin Guidry.
Mark was an EMT with Acadian Ambulance for 30 years, providing services in Vermilion and Lafayette parish.
He is survived by his wife of nineteen years, Christine Lege; two sons, Joshua Faulk and wife Stephanie of New Iberia and Jerrod Faulk of Abbeville; three daughters, Amy Lege Gaspard and husband Ozan, Kristy Lege and Pamela Lege all of Kaplan; a brother, Roland Lege of Franklin; a sister, Brenda Trimble of Mansfield; eight grandchildren, Brittney Gaspard, Braden Gaspard, Yasmyn Cobb, Quintlan Cobb, Destiny Doucette, Mykala Doucette, Kaiden Faulk and Laikyn Faulk; a great grandchild on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd John Lege and Gertrude Greaux Lege; and a sister Ann Lege Vincent.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Monday, October 13, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Tuesday, October 14, from 8:30 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
