KAPLAN—Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Luther Paul Savoy, 71, who died Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Regional Medical Center of Acadiana. He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Matthew Barzare officiating the services.
He is survived by his mother, Emma Savoy of Kaplan; two sisters, Sandra Segura and Judy Guidry, both of Kaplan; two brothers, Derwin Savoy of Lafayette and Thad Savoy of Liberty, MS; and his friend, Deanna Meaux of Abbeville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Obey Savoy; one sister, Connie Savoy; one niece, Angela Hebert; and one nephew, Job Guidry .
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 9 a.m. until services.
