Lawrence Stanley Smith, Jr. “Crusher”

ABBEVILLE – Funeral service for Lawrence Stanley Smith, Jr. “Crusher” will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church. Interment will be in Hills-Rudd Cemetery on Prairie Street. Pastor Ennis Sullivan will be officiating the service.
Lawrence S. Smith (70), affectionately known as “Crusher”, a long time resident of Abbeville passed away Sunday, August 30, 2015 at his residence surrounded by family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Petry Smith, his sister, Theresa Holmes (Michael) of Abbeville, LA; his sons, Lawrence Stanley Smith, III “Lil Larry” (Cheryl) of Abbeville, LA; Christopher Smith (Kim) of Franklinton, LA; Timothy Trent Smith (Tara), Coy Darby (Regina) of Abbeville, LA; his daughters, Andrus Smith Reid (Joe) of Kaplan, LA; Melody Smith Cormier (Wesley) of Maurice, LA; Yolanda Smith Lee (Curtis Owens) of Whitestone, VA; Sabrina Smith, Chloe Augustus, Latrisha Landry (Wayne) of Abbeville, LA; twenty-five (25) grandchildren, fifteen (15) Great-grand children, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by both parents as well as maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church from 7:00 A.M. until time of service.
