Larry James Hungerford

Funeral services for Larry James Hungerford, 62 of Gueydan, were held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Gueydan on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 2 p.m. with Father Corey Campeaux officiating. Visitation hours were held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 3, from 8 a.m. until the time of his service at 2 p.m. Larry was laid to rest in the Gueydan Cemetery.
Larry James was born on July 19, 1951 in Gueydan, to the late Camille Willie “Junior” Hungerford and Louella B. Hungerford. He was called to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at his residence. Larry was a shop hand for Pennzoil for many years. He had a special love for horses. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Larry is survived by his beloved mother, Louella B. Hungerford of Gueydan; one brother, Harold Hungerford and his wife, Judy of Sulphur; two sisters, Connie H. Mouton and her husband, John of Iowa, and Sue H. Trahan and her husband, Wes of Maurice; he also leaves behind to cherish in his memories, numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends he held dear to his heart.
He is preceded in death by his beloved father, Camille Willie “Junior” Hungerford.
