Larry Cornell Gaskins, Sr.

A Home-Going Celebration will be held for Larry Cornell “Gasco” Gaskins, Sr. 61, at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Faith Hope Christian Fellowship, Abbeville, LA with Bishop B.K. Stevens, officiating.
He will await the resurrection at Faith Hope Christian Fellowship Cemetery in Gros Isle.
A gathering of family and friends will begin Friday, March 4, 2016 from 5:00-10:00 P.M. at Faith Hope Christian Fellowship and resume on Saturday at 8:00 A.M. until time of service.
A native of Heathsville, VA. And resident of Youngsville, LA. He passed at 6:10 P.M. Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, Lafayette, LA following a brief illness.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Amanda Gaskins of Youngsville, LA, his mother, Lorine Gaskins Middleton, step-father, Lawrence “Monroe” Middleton of Heathsville, VA, three sons, Jerome Williams of Morgan City, LA, Baretta Vice of Saint Martinville, LA, and Larry Gaskins, Jr. of Youngsville, LA, three daughters, Shemikia Sutton of Baltimore, MD, Laura Vice of Youngsville, LA, and Felicia Gaskins Leonard (Keith) of Youngsville, LA, three brothers, William “Billy” Powell of Heathsville, VA, Lawrence Middleton of Los Angeles, CA, and Clifford Middleton (Angela) of Ashburn, VA, three sisters, Vivian Diggs (Lawrence), Elizabeth “Shelly” Taylor and Andrea Middleton all of Heathsville VA, ten grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father William Johnson.
Active pallbearers will be Jerome Williams, Baretta Vice, Larry Gaskins, Jr., Bert Croxton, Danny Noel, and Robert Noel, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jalin Powell, Albert Carter, Keith Leonard, Joseph Vice, Samuel Diggs, Joshua Diggs, Justin Diggs, and Carroll Noel.
