KAPLAN—Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Joseph Rudd, 70, who died Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Lafayette General Medical Center. He will be laid to rest at Shiloh Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Ernest Williams, III officiating the services.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Elizabeth Williams Rudd; three sons, Ronnie J. Rudd of Pearland, TX, Ernest S. Rudd and his wife, Gayla of Duson, and Jeremy M. Rudd of Kaplan; one daughter, Teena M. Rudd of Kaplan; three sisters, Glenda Clement of Kaplan, Audrey Rudd of Chicago, IL, and Leona Brailey of Abbeville; two brothers, Johnny Rudd Jr. and Robert Rudd Sr., both of Kaplan; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Rudd Sr. and the former Thelma Reaux; three sisters, Mary Lee Chaisson, Elizabeth Rudd and Rosa Lee Rudd; and one brother, Henry Rudd Sr.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 9 a.m. until services.
