John "Joe-Joe" Small

ABBEVILLE — A Home Going Celebration will be held for John"Joe-Joe" Small, 57 at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday April 19, 2014 at Faith Hope Christian Fellowship Church, Abbeville, LA with Bishop B. K. Stevens officiating.
He will await the resurrection at St. Paul Cemetery, Abbeville, LA.
A gathering of family and friends at the church on Saturday 8 a.m. until time of service.
A native and resident of Abbeville, LA he passed at 8:2 a.m. on April 8, 2014 at his residence.
He leaves to cherish his memory and in God's care two sons, Derrick Noel of Beaumont, TX and Gregory Riley of Baton Rouge, LA; four daughters, Josie Noel of Beaumont, TX, Ruth Noel of Houston, TX, Jorhanda Small of Baton Rouge, LA, and Kelly Riley of Baton Rouge, LA; his parents, Mary Small and John Minnick of Abbeville, LA; one brother, Robert Small of Abbeville, LA; three sisters, Gail Fauntleroy, Paula Washington and Rebbet Noel all of Abbeville, LA; ten grand children; four maternal uncles, eleven maternal aunts, two paternal uncles and two paternal aunts, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He now joins in glory with one niece, Denisha Small; his maternal grandparents, Mabel Narcisse and Wedis Small; and his paternal grandparents, Emye Levy and John Joseph Minnick, Sr.
Active pallbearers will be, Derrick Noel, Andre Morris, Jr., Jesse Riley, Courtney Fredrick, Allen Small and Cornelius Fredrick.
Honorary pallbearers will be, Robert Small, William Noel, III, Terry Faunteleroy, Sr., Terry Faunteleroy, Jr., Curtis Faunteleroy, Frank Faunteleroy, Lonnie Faunteleroy, Sr., Gregory Riley, Malik Small, Kerry Moore, Jabari Hunsberry, Ivan Ardoin, Anthony Tarver and Johnny Andrews.
